Leading Health Maintenance Organization Job Vacancies

Due to steady growth and expansion, we seek competent, experienced and dedicated individuals to fill the following vacant positions below:

1. Head, Underwriting – a Leading Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Analyse information in insurance applications
  • Determine the risk of insuring a client
  • Screen applicants on the basis of set criteria
  • Evaluate recommendations from underwriting software
  • Contact field representatives, medical personnel and other to obtain further information
  • Decide whether to offer insurance
  • Determine appropriate premiums and amount of coverage.

Requirements

  • Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in Actuarial Sciences, Insurance or related field
  • Post Graduate Qualification in Actuarial Sciences, insurance, health Management, health financing or related fields
  • Certificate in or professional membership of insurance, actuary sciences or related bodies
  • ICT in Ms Excel, Ms word and field specific software
  • Minimum of 10 years experience post NYSC
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in relevant and related field
  • Attendance of related Courses/workshops/seminars e.t.c

2. Marketing Executives – Leading Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

Locations: Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt-Rivers

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the sourcing of new clients while maintaining relationships with existing clients
  • Arrange for meetings and presentations
  • Achieve allocated sales revenue targets
  • Conduct regular market intelligence activities
  • Contribute to the development of healthcare plans
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s marketing and sales plan

Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Sc with a minimum of 2nd class upper division or HND (Upper credit) in Marketing, Nursing, Microbiology, Insurance or any other relevant field
  • Knowledge of the operations of the National Health insurance Scheme (NHIS) will be an added advantage
  • Excellent selling and customer relationship skills
  • Good communication/presentation skills (both oral and written)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in relevant and related field
  • Attendance of related Courses/workshops/seminars e.t.c
  • Post Graduate Qualification in marketing or related field.

3. Accountant – Leading Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed
  • Perform month end accounting activities such as reconciliation’s and journal entries
  • Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
  • Generate financial reports and statements to manager for review
  • Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions
  • Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances report the same to management
  • Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts
  • Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations
  • Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations
  • Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures
  • Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.

Requirements

  • B.Sc Accounting (ACA/ACCA Intermediate level).
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience. Previous experience in the HMO industry will be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of the operation of the National Health Insurance Scheme will be a significant advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and sensitive to confidential information.
  • Team oriented with strong management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience demonstrating mastery of computerized accounting systems, especially SAGE
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office word, Excel & power point
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Must have a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
